prayers, please

May 18, 2013

I got a phone call from my sister telling me it was a good thing I wasn't at Trail Days when she enlightened me to this news:

Article 1
Article 2

Essentially, an elderly individual had a medical issue behind the wheel and drove into today's parade. Several were injured.

Pray for everyone in attendance, injured or not. This is a hard time for everyone. I have not heard from Tina either.

No one shot a gun and no one ran the car intentionally so this won't get crazy media attention, but people are hurting just the same and need to know they are loved.

UPDATE - Tina is fine.

  3. Lord God, we pray that you comfort, heal, and bring peace to all those involved and those who care about them. We pray that all those injured heal quickly and completely. We pray for the medical personnel treating those individuals to work under your steadfast guidance. We pray for the driver of the car; that he or she may heal from their medical emergency and that they may feel comfort in the tough days ahead. We pray for complete physical, mental, and emotional healing for all involved. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen!
