re•cipe: pomegranate-hibiscus energy tea

April 3, 2013

In my earlier excitement for spring post, I mentioned that I was excited to play around with some mocktails of sorts involving one of my favorite products, Arbonne Fizz Sticks!

It really is hard to call anything a favorite since I am in love with pretty much everything Arbonne produces, (I mean, the Arbonne Protein Bars are freakin' delicious!)  but the fizz sticks have certainly been a go-to item for me from the beginning. I am picky to say the least but I truly enjoy the way they taste AND how they make me feel!

I was ready for something light and refreshing earlier in the week and remembered the hibiscus tea bags hiding in my pantry, just waiting for summer. The result was a light, juicy, YUM! I especially love that I didn't need to add any sugar - I am a heavy tea drinker so this is a lighter option without sacrificing taste.

(Note: fizz sticks are Arbonne's more holistic energy drink. I don't advise drinking these in the evening!)

Pomegranate-Hibiscus Energy Tea

by re•solve
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 0
Ingredients (Serves 1)
  • 1 Arbonne Fizz Stick (Pomegranate)
  • 1 Hibiscus Tea Bag
  • ~16 oz. water
  • Ice Cubes:
  • [optional] lime wedge
Instructions
Pour contents of fizz stick into an empty 16 oz. glass and add tea bag.
SLOWLY Pour boiling water into glass - start with a tiny splash as the FIZZ sticks are aptly named and will do just that. When the fizz has died down, slowly pour water until 2/3-3/4 full.
Mix well and pour contents into a 16 oz. glass FULL of ice.
Enjoy with or without twist of lime

  4. I need energy. I never heard of fizz sticks but I'm an avid tea drinker. Where do you buy fizz sticks?

We may have met by chance...but we become friends by choice.

    1. Hi Sue! Fizz sticks are essentially Arbonne's version of an energy drink. Instead of tons of sugar and caffeine, they throw in green tea, trace minerals, and B vitamins. I personally find myself with a clearer head and reduced craings when I have one in the morning. They only have 13 calories each. Despite my aversion to "diet" beverages, I find these taste great!

    1. Hi Mandee! The Fizz sticks are an Arbonne product (I just chugged down a pomegranate one!) available in citrus and pomegranate. I'm a consultant and would be happy to help.
